Overwatch 3?
Blizzard
Rumors of a mobile Overwatch game have been around for months, and we finally have more information about it as well as another popular title that will tickle your nostalgic feelings.
According to the Korean news site MTN (via Naeri), Blizzard has chosen Nexon to publish a StarCraft game and Overwatch on mobile, which is reportedly being called Overwatch 3 internally.
"Blizzard has been bidding since the fourth quarter of last year for major Korean game companies, offering content development rights using the 'Starcraft' IP and the Korean and Japanese service rights for 'Overwatch Mobile' as a package deal," the website says.
Overwatch Mobile is developed by Blizzard and is said to be a MOBA game. As for StarCraft, "a bidding proposal was made that did not place restrictions on genre and content type." Considering the popularity of the title, I can't see it as anything but an RTS game, but perhaps Nexon and Blizzard will surprise us.
Other than Nexon, NCSoft and Netmarble participated in the bidding.
