Bloober Team Released Gameplay Trailer For Their First Original Horror
Cronos: The New Dawn is coming later this year.
Bloober Team, the developers of Silent Hill 2 Remake, has presented a gameplay trailer for their upcoming original survival horror, Cronos: The New Dawn, showcasing pulse-pounding combats with the nightmarish creatures.
It follows the story of The Traveler, who needs to travel to the past of Poland around the 1980s to rescue a VIP and transfer them to the future devastated by a pandemic, where they might be able to help. "Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die."
The game has a really cool idea: Merging. Beating the enemies to death isn't the end, as you also need to burn dead monsters quickly enough. Otherwise, they'll merge into something faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The developers shared that the game's enemy design draws inspiration from body horrors, specifically the 1982 science fiction horror movie The Thing.

The game development started in late 2021, simultaneously with the Silent Hill 2 remake, with different teams working on each of them. For this new project, Director and Designer Wojciech Piejko said it'll differ from the remake but be similarly fun to play, just like "different pizzas with different toppings—both delicious.
Before this gameplay reveal, the team shared some screenshots to showcase the game's weapons, atmosphere, locations, and more:
Cronos: The New Dawn will be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X/S, and its release date will be revealed later.
