Bloodborne Is Now Partially Playable on PC via Emulator

It's still far from perfect, but the shadps4 team has progressed quickly.

Just a week ago, we saw Bloodborne barely booting on PC via the shadps4 emulator, but the fact itself was a breakthrough in development, and it seems the work will now be accelerated. The team behind the port has published several updates, demonstrating that the game is finally playable.

Yes, it's not smooth; yes, the textures and lighting are lacking; yes, there are issues with sound; however, it's a far cry from what we had (or, rather, didn't have) some weeks ago.

Unfortunately, there are "hacks" needed to run Bloodborne on PC, according to the emulator developers, but they are working on it, so we might get a fully working version by the end of this or next year.

shadPS4 is a PS4 emulator, and that's all we have hope for at the moment as FromSoftware "has nothing to say" about Bloodborne, even though Hidetaka Miyazaki is "not opposed to" the PC port. A report claims FromSoftware was developing PC and PlayStation 5 versions of the game, but nothing came out of it.

The shadPS4 is also working on porting Red Dead Redemption, the Tomb Raider remasters, and KickBeat.
