Capcom Expects Street Fighter 6 Sales to Reach 10 Million Copies

Capcom's president said that Street Fighter V has sold over seven million copies, which proves that selling 10 million copies with the next game is possible.

Capcom's president has recently stated that the company's objective is to achieve sales of 10 million units for Street Fighter 6.

Haruhiro Tsujimoto has shared the company's plans in an interview with Famitsu (via VGC). He expressed his belief that the sales target of 10 million units for Street Fighter 6 is attainable and cited the fact that Street Fighter V has already sold over seven million copies as evidence.

"The Street Fighter series is our flagship title, so we had no hesitation in investing in it," Tsujimoto said. "Street Fighter V has already sold over 7 million copies, so if we can make use of our digital sales experience, we should be able to aim for 10 million copies with the next game."

"That’s why we’re trying to do everything we couldn’t do before with Street Fighter 6 – that’s why we’re where we are today."

Over the years, Capcom has established a strong foothold in the gaming market with highly successful releases such as the Resident Evil and Monster Hunter series, which is expected to positively impact the sales of Street Fighter 6.

Street Fighter 6 will be released on June 2 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. This is the first game in the series to feature an open-world campaign mode.
