Capcom is "Considering How to Approach" the Development of New Mega Man Games

Over the past five years, devoted Mega Man fans have eagerly awaited news about a fresh addition to the beloved series, all the while pondering what Capcom has been up to and what the studio's plans for the series were. At the company's most annual shareholder meeting, their hopes were finally answered as the company offered a glimpse at the next Mega Man project.
During the meeting's Q&A session, a shareholder highlighted the remarkable success of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, which had surpassed 1 million copies sold, wondering what Capcom's plans for the series were. In response, Capcom stated that they "are considering how to approach the production of new entries in the series, which requires numerous factors, including the development of a solid concept, ideas, and gameplay".
When queried about the possibility of ports and collections, Capcom replied, "We are considering our approach to ports of past entries titles, which includes addressing technical issues".
