VGC reports that Resident Evil fans will get one more remake.
Following the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, Capcom is now working on a remake of Resident Evil 4, reports VGC. The report also states that the remake has an estimated release window of 2022.
Development is said to be managed by Osaka-based M-Two, a new studio launched by former PlatinumGames head Tatsuya Minami.
Capcom’s internal teams and other external studios might also contribute to the development of the new remake. VGC also reported that the original game director Shinji Mikami has blessed the development but declined to lead the project because of Bethesda’s GhostWire: Tokyo.
The studio behind the project was launched in 2018 and it hired many former Platinum and Capcom employees.
