Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Capcom published an infographic revealing that it has sold 500 million game units across 307 titles and 230 countries and regions in these years.
The company's hit franchise Resident Evil accounted for a huge part of this number, with 142 million copies sold. Among its other big IPs, Street Fighter sold 49 million units, and Monster Hunter – 92 million.
Capcom's latest Street Fighter game managed to sell one million copies in the first week, but the company expects to reach 10 million.
