This release introduces the Inbetweening tool, improved AutoPosing, AutoPhysics, new Ragdoll interaction with characters and props, and more.
Nekki, the developer behind the advanced AI-assisted keyframe animation software Cascadeur, has introduced several enhancements, with Inbetweening taking center stage in this first release of the year.
Cascadeur 2025.1 features a new advanced AI tool that automatically creates smooth, natural movements between two poses, streamlining your animation process and making it more intuitive than ever. Currently, Inbetweening is primarily trained on locomotion actions such as walking, running, crawling, falling, and squatting, however, there are plans to expand the dataset to include other types of animations in the future.
In addition, the AutoPosing rig features significant improvements in stability, with enhanced behavior of the spine and pelvis controllers and other refinements.
As for AutoPhysics, it now better preserves the original pose using Geometrical Constraints logic and includes a new slider for fine-tuning the Physics Corrector. Ragdoll now handles character interactions and can interact with props. Additionally, it supports convex and kinematic mesh colliders.
Cascadeur 2025.1 also brings enhanced compatibility with Blender, Daz3D, and other software, featuring support for GLTF/GLB file formats and an upgraded FBX import. Check the release notes for the complete list of changes, including UI updates, enhanced Unbaking functionality, added Roblox sample characters, optimized Copy Tools, and more.
