Choose from 9 different movement styles for the generated animation, try trajectory tangents, automatic fulcrum detection, and more.
Nekki describes this new version of its AI-assisted keyframe animation software as a big one, bringing a smarter Inbetweening system, new options for working with trajectories, and more.
Inbetweening, first introduced in version 2025.1, automatically generates movements between two key poses. In this release, a new Style option has been added, allowing users to control the type of motion, such as walking or running, produced by the tool. The underlying algorithm has also been updated, delivering significantly better results, especially for short intervals. Also, the maximum length of animations generated by Inbetweening has been extended to 120 frames.
Trajectory Edit Mode now supports manipulating tangents in the viewport. Tangents are available for Bezier-type interpolations, Linear and Step interpolations don't have them.
This release also adds a new type of trajectories called Direction Trajectories, which can be enabled for all points that use direction data for interpolation.
Cascadeur 2025.2 brings a new fulcrum detection algorithm that should more reliably detect the fulcrum points in your animation. Learn more about these changes, including improved AutoPhysics, Constraints, and more, in the release notes.
