Recently, Paweł Sasko, CD Projekt Red's Quest Director for Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, took to Twitter to share some exciting news about the new Cyberpunk 2077 game. According to Sasko, the core band is in Boston, and they already have "exciting discussions about the next Cyberpunk 2077 game". So, it seems that the process has started.
"Sooo good to be back in the office – already in the snowy Boston! Our core band had exciting discussions about the next Cyberpunk 2077 game. Love this team and our dystopian IP," wrote Sasko. "On the picture: me & Sarah Gruemmer, Expert Quest Designer, who gave you Judy's storyline."
As we earlier reported, the new Cyberpunk game, codenamed Orion, promises to "take the Cyberpunk franchise further and continue harnessing the potential of this dark future universe." The team working on the next installment will include the core team that worked on Cyberpunk 2077 and the staff from the company's Vancouver division.
Also, during the Q1 2023 earnings conference call, CDPR shared that Project Orion would enter its research and development phase in 2024. Well, it's already 2024, and I hope that with each passing day, we'll hear more and more about the next installment in the famous franchise.
Speaking of the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, recently, Phantom Liberty reached a new achievement of selling 5 million copies in just over three months.
