The REDstream to be held in a few hours will uplift the curtain of “cool stuff in the oven.”
CD Projekt
Nearly a year after Cyberpunk 2077 received the massive 2.1 update last December, which the developer said would be the last major update of the game, and the 2.11 minor update in January this year, CD Projekt has dropped a surprising announcement about the upcoming patch 2.2. This patch brings new “cool features” that will be explored in detail in the live stream coming in a few hours.
Regarding the soon-to-come update, fans’ expectations have been set high as Marcin Momot, Global Community Director at CD Projekt, teased that “we do have some other cool stuff in the oven.” At the same time, Momot has reaffirmed that the game will not receive PS5 Pro support or NG+; at least, it’s not coming with the newly announced update.
The development of Cyberpunk 2077 had been considered wrapped up, as earlier this year, CD Projekt Red's Q2 financial results revealed that no developers at the studio were working on Cyberpunk 2077, drawing a stop sign for the project whose development started in 2012.
