Have a look at this breathtaking 3D model of Maomao, the protagonist of The Apothecary Diaries anime and manga series, that looks nigh-indistinguishable from her 2D counterpart, created by Character Designer and 3DCG Modeler Takuya Igarashi, also known as choco_ikarashi.
According to the artist, this piece was created to celebrate the long-awaited premiere of The Apothecary Diaries' second season, which aired last week, and was made as a personal fan art project. Unfortunately, the creator hasn't shared any details about the production process, but it's reasonable to assume that Blender, a 3D software Igarashi has used in previous projects, was involved.
