Chad Stahelski Hints at Expanding the Ghost of Tsushima Film Further

The director wants to leave room for further expansion.

During a recent interview with Comic Book Movie to promote the release of John Wick: Chapter 4 on Blu-ray, Chad Stahelski, the director of the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima film adaptation, stated there might be a way to expand the film further in the future. Stahelski was chosen as the director of the adaptation in 2021, with Takashi Doscher named its writer in 2022. Later the team also shared the adaptation will have a complete Japanese cast.

Stahelski talked about his desire to expand the adaptation beyond one film, saying that he thinks it is important to make a great 2–2.5-hour movie that is satisfying and leaves room for further expansion.

The film is said to be in heavy development with the director noting the story and its characters are something that he does not want to lose in any way.
