The release date for Outward is yet to be announced.
Outward, created by Nine Dots Studio, a game that captures the essence of a traditional RPG with its open-world design and player-driven choices, is getting a sequel.
Outward has gained a loyal following and cult status for its cooperative gameplay, but its full potential is often overlooked. The upcoming launch of Outward 2 after years of anticipation could be a special momentum for this underrated RPG on PC.

The sequel promises a more dynamic world with non-combat interactions, day and night cycles, seasonal weather affecting NPC behavior, and new means of transportation – mules, which is something new as the game is famous for the absence of save games and fast travel.
The game will also feature revamped character creation and progression, and enhanced combat mechanics supporting dual-wielding.
"I've been repeating a lot lately that Nine Dots is about creating value for its players, not extracting value from them. I think it resonates especially with a more experienced audience, either because they grew up with the older model, or because they grew tired of games asking so much from them," shared Nine Dots Studio's CEO Guillaume Boucher-Vidal with PC Gamer.
That's good to hear that the game is in development. As for now, the release date for this RPG hasn't been shared yet, but you can already wishlist it on Steam.
