Chaos has fully released its V-Ray 7 renderer for 3ds Max and Enscape 4.2, a real-time rendering and virtual reality software, introducing a list of exciting features 3D artists will appreciate.
As teased in its beta, V-Ray 7 for 3ds Max brings support for rendering Gaussian splats, upgraded creative controls in the VFB, advanced scattering options, more accurate lighting with V-Ray Luminaires, more Chaos Cosmos assets in the library, V-Ray GPU optimizations with added support for Caustics, and other improvements.
As for Enscape, the new release aims to provide "tighter integration with design applications" and quicker and more accurate workflows.
Chaos introduced the Enscape Impact add-on that lets you view your building's energy performance in the early stages of design, helping you make informed decisions about sustainability – a really handy tool for architects.

Another great improvement allows you to see material and color overrides in renderings as defined by Revit Filters. "This feature ensures that rendering tools reflect the same object appearances and overrides used in Revit, enhancing workflow and presentation accuracy."
This will help you maintain consistency between Revit and Enscape and control rendering views.

V-Ray now also allows you to use World Coordinate System (WCS) mapping for materials for more flexible workflows as well as real-world scale and accuracy.
Want to make your renders look better? You can, as Chaos improved ray tracing for global illumination and sun shadows to ensure more realistic lighting, reflections, and colors.
Finally, Enscape now supports rendering up to six section planes in Rhino and Clip Cubes in Vectorworks, enhancing detailed cross-sectional visualizations.
V-Ray 7 for 3ds Max is compatible with 3ds Max 2020+, and its prices start at $84.90/month. Enscape 4.2 works with Windows 10+ and macOS 12.6+ and costs $84.90/month or $562.80/year for a node-locked license and $958.80/year for a floating one.
