Chaos Releases V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D, Update 1

The new version features multiple Dome Light rendering, node-based material editing, support for V-Ray Fur, and more.

Update 1 allows the users to create V-Ray materials with the new node-based material editing. With this brand-new material editing system, you can view and manage the whole V-Ray shading network from creating your materials and textures to the final touches. The new material nodes, however, are incompatible with Classic Materials.

With the new volumetric subsurface scattering feature, you can also create translucent materials (like wax or plastic, for instance).

The new version also allows you to render multiple Dome Lights at the same time. You can open Light Mix to adjust your light sources and relight the scene even after rendering. Plus, you can fine-tune parts of your render with V-Ray's masking render elements (which include Cryptomatte, MultiMatte, and Object/Render/Material IDs).

The new update also supports V-Ray Fur which allows you to render incredibly realistic fur and hair swiftly by using procedural fur. With the help of this tool, you can create carpets, grass, fabrics, etc.

In Update 1, you will notice V-Ray creates real-world reflections way quicker thanks to the new progressively calculated caustics. Pre-calculated photon maps are not needed for the setup so the whole creative process becomes easier.

V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D Update 1 is rental-only and the price is $80 per month or $470 per year ($39 per month). А Workstation license includes 1 Graphic User Interface (GUI) and 1 V-Ray Render Node.

This pack can help you get that realism that 3D often lacks with various different water stains captured from real surfaces.
