James Barrie, a Senior Lead Technical Artist specializing in automotive art, continues working on his new 3D racing car model, which James himself describes as his magnum opus. With the latest showcase, the artist demonstrated a mesmerizing and incredibly complex car suspension rig set up for the model, boasting tons of moving and spinning parts that allow for unprecedented realism. According to James, the rig was set up in Blender, a popular free and open-source 3D software, using IK constraints on an armature.
