VFX Artist Rassoul Edji showcased test demos created for the Bumblebee animation while developing the tools and pipeline for the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts movie.
The artist explained that the team aimed to develop a tool that balanced creative freedom and technical control, so that the animators could create realistic character movements while following the guidelines. The designed tool allowed the animators to separate any piece by providing its own controls in the rig and choose a piece of geometry wherever they wanted, which also enhanced controllability.
