Do you all remember, as fans of the game say, the greatest wrestling game ever made? Of course, we are talking about WWF No Mercy. So here we are with some news for you! Ultra Pro Wrestling, the spiritual successor of WWF No Mercy, has shared its most recent gameplay footage and revealed that real-life wrestlers will be a part of the game as DLC.

Initially, the game was created by Hyperfocus Games, the Scottish studio, and intended to be a licensed game for a renowned Scottish wrestling promotion. However, the promotion was withdrawn from the project.

Later on, Hyperfocus Games changed the direction of the work and created Ultra Pro Wrestling itself, which, by the way, is promised to be released soon for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

With the new UPW showcase, it was obvious that the game had a lot of references to WWF No Mercy, including the animations and the HUD.

The real-life "free agent" wrestlers will be a part of the game (they will be available as paid DLC). Here is the list of them:

  1. 2 Cold Scorpio
  2. Al Snow
  3. Arn Anderson
  4. Barbarian
  5. The Blue Meanie
  6. Bryan Clark / Adam Bomb / Wrath
  7. Buff Bagwell
  8. Bull Nakano
  9. Chris Candido
  10. Crowbar
  11. Demolition
  12. Devon Dudley
  13. Dynamite Kid
  14. Francine
  15. Gangrel

  17. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan
  18. Hayabusa
  19. Jake ‘The Snake' Roberts
  20. Kanyon / Mortis
  21. Krusher Kruschev
  22. Louie Spicolli
  23. The Masked Superstar
  24. Matt Cardona
  25. "Mr Wonderful" Paul Orndorff
  26. Nova
  27. Sandman
  28. Tito Santana
  29. Warhorse
  30. Warlord.

As Hyperfocus Games stated, each of these wrestlers would be available as paid DLC and the proceeds would go directly to the real-life wrestlers themselves or their families.

A statement on the game's website says that UPW invites all the remarkable talents in the wrestling industry. UPW aims to provide an opportunity for collaboration, allowing these talents to preserve their incredible legacies while also gaining visibility among new generations of fans. "UPW aims to provide a platform where these iconic figures can showcase their skills, boost their profiles, and leave a lasting impact on the industry". If you want to learn more, please click here.
