Pearl Abyss
The G-STAR global game exhibition in Korea just concluded yesterday. During its three-day exhibit, many games presented their newest footage and demos for fans to experience and try. One of them is Crimson Desert, a highly-anticipated open-world action RPG created by Korean video game developer and publisher Pearl Abyss.
The latest demo showcases the intense, smooth combat with Queen Stoneback Crab, whose appearance blends into the background, making it a hard-to-spot dangerous foe. Instead of bursting out blood, a mixture of mud and stones came out from where injured. The final, fatal hit from the controllable character was massive and caused the Crab to fall and lose the struggle completely.
Another demo of fighting Reed Devil shows off the combo of melee combat skills: using a sword to stab, a foot to kick, bare hands to throw, and a round shield to bash.
If the game is new to you, feel free to check out our previous coverage about its gameplay, boss battle trailer, development, early footage, and more.
