Check Out the Trailer of a Short Anime Set in SCP Universe
SCP:GALLIONIC has received a preview on Kickstarter.
Soem Studios shared a new trailer of an animated short film SCP:GALLIONIC, which is available on the project's Kickstarter.
The anime is set in the SCP universe following a catastrophic containment breach and centers on its impact on two siblings, Matthew and Jane Vestergaard. The aftermath of the catastrophe is told through the eyes of Matthew, an accountant working on the outskirts of the facility, while the events leading up to the breach are seen from the perspective of Jane, a young researcher at the facility and Matthew's older sister.
Jane is concerned that containment breaches have become increasingly frequent and scrambles to find a solution. Meanwhile, after the catastrophic event, Matthew ventures into the facility, unaware of what has happened there, determined to save his sister.
As explained by the authors, the anime explores the themes of control over one's world and oneself. The creators point out that, although the story is based on the SCP universe, it's not necessary to be familiar with its lore to enjoy the short film.
