"What Eevee lacks in brainpower, he makes up for in speedy raster-based rendering."
Spyrook, a talented Digital Artist and Animator known to many for their 2D works, has recently demonstrated their 3D skills as well, sharing an adorable animation of Pokémon's Vaporeon struggling to drink from a tap with "three brain cells (all made of water)."
According to Spyrook, the sequence was mostly set up in Blender, with the program's Material nodes having been used to bring the water material, Vaporeon scales, wood, and countertop textures to life. The 2D textures were drawn in Clip Studio Paint, a renowned digital art software that recently introduced a neat new feature that essentially lets you turn 2D drawings into customizable 3D rigs.
For rendering, the artist went with Blender Eevee, noting that "what Eevee lacks in brainpower, he makes up for in speedy raster-based rendering" – a nod to the Pokémon of the same name, who also makes a brief appearance in the animation.
