Check Out This Fan-Made Metroid 64 Created in Unity

The fans are making what Nintendo didn't.

Twitter user Luto Akino shared a video of their Metroid game for Nintendo 64 created in Unity. The footage shows Samus running around a purple cave shooting with her arm cannon.

This version uses a third-person perspective unlike Metroid Prime and looks like what fans probably thought about back when the game director Yoshio Sakamoto said the studio "couldn't come up with any concrete ideas or vehicle."

Metroid 64 is created by two developers. It doesn't seem to have any enemies yet, but the creators are working on it.

It's probably going to take a while until the game's release, but we're looking forward to it.
