Check out This Hand-Drawn 2D Anime Fighter with Thrilling Animations

The developer has set an impressive goal — "to build the craziest nonsensical lore and wild shit."

SUMACHU Games

FrostFire -Battle Frenzy- is a typical 2D anime fighting game that will bring you an excellent fighting experience via high-quality hand-drawn animations.

Set in a world transformed by an unexpected pandemic, the storyline focuses on those who, empowered by their newfound abilities, dare to challenge the cruel realities of this world in their pursuit of a brighter future.

"You know when you're watching My Hero or Jujutsu, the screen starts flashing with pencil strokes and you say "Shit's about to go on crack"."

You'll have the exact same feeling in FrostFire. The entire game is hand-drawn in stunning 2D animation by a team of incredibly gifted artists who've put their all into every frame.

When it comes to gameplay, FrostFire takes a user-friendly approach. Say goodbye to complex combinations needed for special moves. Taking a leaf from games like Smash Bros and Fantasy Strike, FrostFire introduces one-button specials, making it easier for players to dive right into the action. However, don't be fooled by the simplicity. Mastering your character still requires in-depth knowledge, especially if you're fond of executing flashy combos.

How could I forget to mention the adrenaline-pumping animations, paired with exhilarating music, had snapped me right out of my mid-afternoon slump? I can't help but play the trailer in the background, just to let the music keep me awake.

The game does not have a release date yet, but you can check out the demo on Patreon and wishlist the game on Steam. Before you go, take a look at some more footage shared by the developer on Twitter:
