Check Out This Indie Unity-Powered RPG with Realistic Destruction

Indie Game Developer Sérgio Rodrigues shared an update on his upcoming low-poly roguelike RPG Troubled Passage.

Take a look at this WIP animation from a Unity-based indie RPG Troubled Passage, created by Software Engineer and Indie Game Developer Sérgio Rodrigues, featuring brutal destructive mechanics. The crashing physics seems highly realistic, with plenty of wooden table chips flying all over after the smash.

Troubled Passage, a low-poly roguelike game, features an unusual combat system based on mouse swipes. The mouse is an extension of your sword, and you need to fight your way through randomly generated levels, recruit companions, gather loot, trade, and forge weapons. According to the game's storyline, you take on the role of a traveler who is set to explore five regions and reach an old port, where you will take a ship and sail far away to lands filled with mysterious creatures, traps, and other travelers.

Sérgio Rodrigues has been sharing updates on the development of the game. For instance, one of the steps involved creating characters' appearance and adding realistic physics to the clothes movements:
