A new experiment by Kai Müri.
Kai Müri is back with another gorgeous watercolor project – an amazing real-time shader for Blender. Even when the character moves, it's hard to believe this is 3D art.
The effect was done procedurally in the shader in Eevee and in the real-time Compositor, according to the artist. "The entire scene reacts dynamically to lighting. It was really fun to experiment with."
"In this case, everything works in real-time and reacts dynamically to lighting changes, so the workflow is quite fast. You don’t have to go through the painstaking process of manually adjusting textures or painting individual details for every shot, like they did in Arcane, for example," Müri shared on Reddit.
Previously, we've had a chance to admire the creator's other works, like this cute frog in a pumpkin and this model of Mr. Freeze. You can find out how Müri created the latter with its paper-looking background in our interview.
