An artist known as HastyBen made a lifelike visualization of a sunset landscape, recreating camera movement and water flow using Blender.
This short clip is not camera footage but an impressively realistic Blender visualization created by a Reddit user known as HastyBen. The author writes in the comments: "I showed it to my mom, and she asked me, "When did you go out?"
The render has 1080p resolution, 64 samples, and a noise threshold of .1000, all at 24fps. The artist tried to recreate a real location, accurately depicting the trees but unintentionally blended it with the original ideas. The author even tried to create the impression that someone was holding a camera while filming it, so it shook slightly. To get realistic camera movement, the artist used the blendartrack add-on.
In the comments to the Reddit post, the author explained how the noise threshold with 64 samples didn't make the dark areas deformed because of noise. According to the artist, the higher the noise threshold is, the faster cycles will try to finish the render. The scene is very light in the render, featuring only a reflective surface with a noise bump, a few optimized tree models, and only three or four bounces of light. If the artist had something heavy like glass or volume, it would require more bounces and, therefore, more samples. The author explained that jitters appearing in the render probably mean that the overall sample count is lower than the optimal point.
