Take a look at Lucid Blocks, an upcoming surreal voxel game developed by Eric Alfaro, slated for release in 2026.

In this open-world sandbox, you explore dream-like worlds, oozing with liminal spaces and esoteric creatures. The game features a unique crafting system that lets you fuse any set of items without needing to look up recipes. Together with friendly creatures, players can build anything they imagine, using dozens of beautifully designed blocks and dynamic lighting options.

In the game, players explore an infinite procedurally generated world in all directions, discovering new environments and structures and visiting cities made of plastic, serene fields of grass, and massive abandoned warehouses. Along the way, players meet lovely creatures living in that surreal space.

Lucid Blocks is a survival game, and players need to fight against diverse foes, like manikins, squishy gels, higher-dimensional beings, and colossal spiders, with grappling hooks, bee gliders, ball wands, and cute accessories at their disposal.
