3D Artist ZOZOZO provided technical details of creating the setup.
3D Artist ZOZOZO shared their studies of Unreal Engine 5, presenting this captivating demo of a Zoids' Liger visualized using the technology inspired by that used in the production of Monster Hunter Wilds.
The artist shared that the technical approach employed in the demo is similar to the technology behind the procedural posture adjustment of monsters in the game. The liger visualized in ZOZOZO's setup is brought to life by rotating the whole body from the root and then controlling the posture with IK. To create a grounded feel, the artist combined the vertical shifts and rotational differences caused by root rotation with the foot's own values.
