The Firaxis Development Team has just announced exciting news for Sid Meier's Civilization series fans — the gameplay of the much-anticipated Civilization VII will make its debut at the Gamescom Opening Night Live show, hosted by Geoff Keighley on August 20, giving players the first look at the game in motion.

And there’s more than just a gameplay trailer to expect. They will also host a live stream for this latest installment in the turn-based strategy game franchise, lasting over 20 minutes, via their Twitch channel from 9.30 pm BST/1.30 pm PT on the same day.
"We'll be sharing exclusive insights from the development team about this revolutionary new chapter in the franchise, including our vision for the game as well as its innovative new features. "
Firaxis, now owned by Take Two, announced they were working on a new Civilization game in February last year. Civilization VII's cinematic teaser trailer was revealed at the 2024 Summer Game Fest in June:
The game is set for a 2025 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. You can already add the game to your wishlist on Steam to be informed when the game is officially launched.
