Clavicula: A Free 3D Modeling and Painting App for Desktop & VR

The software was created by Lucian Stanculescu and is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

If you are looking for a way to get started with 3D modeling while being on a budget, here's a marvelous application that you should most certainly check out. Meet Clavicula, a free software for modeling and painting developed by Lucian Stanculescu.

Available for Windows, Linux, and macOS, Clavicula boasts a variety of robust tools for creating 3D projects, including 3D modeling, sculpting, and texturing toolsets, features retopology capabilities and SDF modeling, supports PBR materials and ray-traced rendering, comes with a neat Bones system that enables you to quickly sketch out and pose a 3D model, and much more. On top of that, the Windows version of the program can be used for creating models in VR, similar to Substance 3D Modeler.
