Should we expect the rebirth of the shooter?
Cliff Bleszinski, the creator of Gears of War, posted on Twitter hinting at upcoming news about LawBreakers – the 2017 first-person shooter closed a year after release due to a low number of players. In the tweet, he said he got a text from his lawyer about the game, "stay tuned".
In the comments, he then expressed confusion over the fact that many people were happy about LawBreakers closing, but now "there's a ton of support for it".
"Like, the team worked their ASSES off on it. I relocated many people from other parts of the world for it and the internet was like HAR HAR IT DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS. Meanwhile, studio craters and I have to deal with a year of crippling depression out of guilt."
Bleszinski also mentioned that the team had tried to make sure the game was different from Overwatch, which was released in 2016, and then added that Overwatch didn't require aim, unlike LawBreakers.
Whether or not the game is coming back, we will hear about it soon it seems. So stay tuned and don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
