Classic Station Lighting is a system that lets you achieve an authentic retro look and customize it to your liking.
In Classic Station Lighting by Kordan, everything is easy to set up with a simple settings manager, and a demo map is included so you can see it in action. To help you get started, CSL offers master material templates for particles, landscapes, water, FX, and more.
The main features include a custom lighting system capable of handling up to 1024 dynamic lights. It supports point lights, spotlights, directional lights, and box volume lights, all fully dynamic and adjustable in both runtime and the editor. You can change their position, color, intensity, and size on the fly.
CSL just got an update with improved performance and usability. The HLSL code was refactored, and switching to Niagara for render target updates reportedly boosts performance by up to 300% with more lights. New features include two-sided lighting for flat geometry, fully rotatable and scalable box lights, and spotlight angle sliders now using real degrees. The preview map was tweaked, icons were updated for better visibility, and several Blueprints and bug fixes were made.
