Create, Texture & Animate Low‑Poly 3D Models With This Tool
Try picoCAD 2.
Johan Peitz has released picoCAD 2, a fun and accessible 3D app powered by LÖVE that allows you to model, texture, and animate low-poly creations.
picoCAD 2 provides a user-friendly toolset that lets anyone create retro-style models without prior experience. The built-in texture editor allows you to see your pixel art directly on your models as you draw, and with motion tools, you can easily animate your work. PicoCAD 2 also supports GIF export, GLTF, and OBJ/MTL export to bring your models into modern game engines, and sprite sheet export so you can create sheets of any number of frames and sizes.
picoCAD 2 is completely rebuilt from the ground up, bringing a host of improvements over the original, it's like going from NES to SNES, according to the developer. The first feature update is now live, focusing on colors and palettes. It also adds full support for Macs with Intel/x86 architecture.
