Create Your Own Superhero in This 2D-Animated Cartoon-Style Game

Warden's Will, an upcoming indie third-person shooter from ELYZIO that we featured back in May, has recently got a new in-house 2D-animated teaser trailer, highlighting months of dedicated work from the team.

Warden's Will is a third-person roguelite shooter developed by ELYZIO using Unreal Engine 5 that can be played solo or by up to three players in co-op. As a player, you have to fight evil robots while navigating a space-themed environment.

You can choose one of four Wardens, each having a unique personality, and upgrade your character with diverse augments and weapons, creating a superhero that can fly, swing, or race. Warden's Will offers intense bullet hell combat where players make their way through vertical challenges while dodging risky traps and uncovering secret treasures. "Expect the unexpected," reads the description on the Steam page.

The game features stunning 2D art style and animations, evoking a light sense of nostalgia and reminiscences of beloved childhood comic books and cartoons. In the comments to their Reddit post, the developers state that the game's 2D animator was one of the lead animators in Netflix's Castlevania.
