Creating a Layered VR Experience With ShapesXR & Passthrough

Greg Madison showed the results of a cool experiment that allows the creator to easily switch between normal and augmented views in VR.

Interaction Designer, Researcher, and VR enthusiast Greg Madison has recently shared the results of an awesome experiment that took place in virtual reality. The developer has managed to set up a switch that allows viewing the VR space around you in either regular or augmented format, changing the view with just a press of a button, and previewing parts of the opposite world with a special tool, also created by Greg.

According to the developer, this layered VR experience was set up using the Passthrough technology and ShapesXR, Tvori Inc.'s creation and collaboration platform developed for Quest and Quest 2. What's more, you can already experience Greg's amazing breakthrough by downloading ShapesXR and entering the room with the following Space code: EW9XZ5A5.
