Cult of the Lamb's New Free Update Introduces Local Co-Op Mode

Meet the Goat from Unholy Alliance.

Cult of the Lamb has just launched a free major batch, Unholy Alliance, introducing a brand new local cooperative mode to the much-loved action roguelike, among various new features. This is the second large update from the game, following Sins of the Flesh, which was released this January

“Experience the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign in local co-op, with one player inhabiting the role of the Lamb and the other taking on the mantle of the Goat. Enjoy new 2-player twists on existing minigames like fishing and knucklebones, and choose from a selection of corrupted weapons, tarot cards, curses, and relics as you embark on co-op crusades.”

The launch trailer for the batch showcases the new evil ally, the Goat. The duo could switch weapons, provide coverage for each other to produce additional damage and create critical hits when attacking at the same time. You can imagine the doubled fun and trouble brought by the new member.

Other than the co-op mode, the batch also brings new tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, follower traits, follower quests, and more. The full batch note can be found in the Steam Community, which offers instructions on how to start the co-op mode.

Along with the free update comes the new $6.99 DLC, the Pilgrim Pack, bringing a new interactive digital comic as well as “new secret quests, Follower forms, outfits and decorations. ” The new DLC has earned a 96% positive review despite being launched for less than a day.

The game offers a 50% discount on Steam right now, so it would be a perfect chance to own the game if you haven’t yet.
