CD Projekt's recent job posting quite literally includes the word "multiplayer."
Although CD Projekt Red still hasn't officially announced that Cyberpunk 2, the next mainline Cyberpunk 2077 game, will feature a multiplayer component, we now have the second-best thing – the studio's recent job posting for a Lead Network Engineer, which all but confirms that the upcoming Cyberpunk game will indeed be multiplayer.

According to the posting, the role involves designing and implementing the network architecture and online systems for Cyberpunk 2, with main responsibilities including designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient network architectures for online features, as well as ensuring low-latency, high-performance online experiences for players.
Furthermore, the position explicitly mentions the word "multiplayer," requiring the candidate to develop and optimize multiplayer systems, such as matchmaking and server performance, making it all but certain that, unless it's cut like in Cyberpunk 2077, the ability to engage with other players will be included in the sequel.
As of this writing, the position is still open, so if you've got 7+ years of programming experience, one year of managerial experience, and are proficient in C++ and Unreal Engine, you can apply here.
