Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Adds Cyberpsychosis Like in Edgerunners

The mod introduces a new stat – Humanity, which depends on installed cyberware, some abilities usage, and kills.

If Cyberpunk 2077 is not hard enough for you, here is a cool mod to make you a little more conscious of your decisions. Modder DJ_Kovrik released a "Wannabe Edgerunner" mod that adds a Humanity Cost system and a few low Humanity side-effects including cyberpsychosis.

Essentially, your cyberware, Berserk/Sandevistan usage, and kills lower your Humanity stat and drive you closer to unpleasant side effects. While installing implants lowers your Humanity permanently, cyberware usage and enemy kills decrease it temporarily, you can sleep to restore it and use Neuroblockers to prevent low Humanity penalties.

There are three Humanity thresholds:

  • Glitches: launches light visual glitches and adds a critical damage debuff, it's better to go to sleep at this stage.
  • Pre-Psychosis: launches more visual glitches and adds a critical chance debuff, also can trigger Cyberpsychosis with some probability (configurable).
  • Cyberpsychosis: launches the heaviest visual glitches but buffs your movement speed, armor value and health regeneration, and if your character is not in an interior or dangerous area then triggers police spawn as well. If the related option is enabled, then you will be teleported to one of the 20+ predefined locations when the cyberpsychosis effect ends.
