Dark RPG Thaumaturge Gets PC Release Date

You'll get to make your morally ambiguous choices soon enough.

11 bit studios has revealed the release date for the PC version of Thaumaturge in a new gameplay trailer. The dark RPG will be out on December 5, and the console owners will see it in early 2024.

"The year is 1905. Warsaw lives under the yoke of imperial Russian tsardom. Its inhabitants constitute a diverse group of different ancestries, views, and beliefs with often conflicting interests: Russian soldiers, Jewish merchants, Polish townspeople, and more. Despite the circumstances, the city is a buzzing metropolis, where one can attend a breathtaking party with the high society, and later get robbed in one of the dark alleys of the Praga district. A city of great hopes and dreams on one hand and dark desires on the other."

Thaumaturge is a story-driven RPG that will force you to make some morally ambiguous choices in the mysterious world of early 20th-century Warsaw. Here, you'll meet Salutors, esoteric beings that can only be seen and controlled by Thaumaturges. One of the people with these powers is Wiktor Szulski – the protagonist whose skin you'll be wearing in your playthrough.

Salutors are inner demons that visit those who have something to hide. Taming them is no easy task and requires you to find the balance between thaumaturgy and insanity.

Thaumaturge allows you to shape your story by altering your choices. You will create your own version of the Thaumaturge to approach situations in different ways. The game's unique turn-based combat and the ability to influence and manipulate the temperaments of other characters make it an intriguing experience to look forward to.
