The studio previously worked on the popular zombie multiplayer game called Day. The company announced the decision on Twitter and states that it was a "mutual decision between management and studio leads."
The company also noted that the announcement "won't affect the future development" of the game and added that "DayZ development isn't closed."
DayZ will continue to receive updates this year "with longer games between them." Bohemia Interactive told GamesIndustry.biz that "over 40 employees were affected by the closure of the Bratislava studio."
