During gamescom 2022, the creators of Dead Island 2 have finally announced the upcoming game's release date.
Eight years after the initial announcement, Dead Island 2, a long-awaited action RPG developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver, has finally got not just one but two brand new trailers, shared by the game's creators at gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live.
The first cinematic trailer shows us Jacob, one of six playable characters, planned to be added to the game, fighting his way through hordes of zombies using a gun with several modifications as a melee weapon just to get to a shop. Additionally, with this trailer, the game has finally got an official release date, claiming that the upcoming sequel will be released on February 3, 2023, on PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Alexa Game Control, and PC via Epic Games Store.
The second trailer gave us a glimpse at several of Dead Island 2's combat mechanics, showing its brutal and fun combat, finishing moves, and a huge arsenal of both melee weapons and guns that can be used to annihilate zombies.
