Developer Toby Fox has shared more details.
Among the newly announced titles during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation, such as Hollow Knight: Silksong, the long-awaited sequel to Team Cherry's Hollow Knight, we also see Chapters 3 and 4 of the beloved indie RPG series Deltarune, created by Toby Fox.
The follow-up to his 2015 video game Undertale has its first two chapters released for free and has received lots of praise for its storytelling, memorable characters, as well as music since its debut in 2018. Deltarune borrows themes and characters from Undertale and follows the adventures of Kris, Suzie, and Ralsei, who's a prince from the Dark World.
Fox has kept the promise that the two new chapters will come out this year, and they will be released on June 5, the same day as Nintendo Switch 2. Although announced during Switch Direct, it'll also be available on other platforms, including Steam, PS4, and PS5.
Meanwhile, the developer confirmed more details about the new episodes, including the price of $24.99, which includes all four chapters and also makes all upcoming chapters available for free. The soundtrack, which costs $14.99, will contain 150 songs, and the list will be updated for free when new tracks from new chapters arrive.
"It's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you’ll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal," Fox writes.
If you haven't tried out the first two chapters yet, you can download them on itch.io.
