Developer Created Audio Editor in Unity to Replace Audacity

Kitler Dev's tool eliminates the need to click back and forth.

Tired of moving between different apps to add sounds to your Unity project? Kitler Dev has a neat solution.

They created an audio editor for their Universal Sound Manager (USM) "so you never have to switch to Audacity again."

The editor makes professional arrangements with multi-track timelines and offers simple navigation so you can easily export compositions directly in Unity.

You might want to grab USM to have a "complete Unity audio system that simplifies game audio with one-line playback, visual editor tools, multi-track composition, and chainable controls for all skill levels."

"With USM, you can play any audio using just one line of code - no complicated setup, no endless configuration. The system includes a sophisticated builder pattern that lets you chain control methods together, enabling complex audio behaviors with clean, readable code."

However, as many Reddit users pointed out, Audacity is free, and Kitler Dev's tool is $25. But the creator believes it is worth it for the "cumulative time lost from the constant context-switching."

If you think it's what you need, check out USM on the Unity Store. Join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Discord server, follow us on InstagramTwitterLinkedInTelegramTikTok, and Threads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
