Devil May Cry 5 Hits 5 Million Sales Worldwide

That's 200,000 copies more since the last sales update.

Capcom announced that Devil May Cry 5 has now sold more than 5 million copies globally becoming the most commercially successful entry in the franchise. The company shared the news on Twitter thanking the fans for their support.

Devil May Cry 5 is the sixth game in the Devil May Cry franchise and the fifth mainline title in the series. It was first released in 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and sold 2 million copies within just two weeks after its launch. In November 2020, an updated version of the game, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, was released for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The previous success of the title was reported in December 2021 – by that time the action-adventure game had sold over 4.8 million copies worldwide. The remarkable sales update reflects another 200,000 units sold since then.

Capcom didn't specify whether the figure of 5 million includes the special edition sales or it entails only the sales of the original title.
