11 bit studios shared details of what to expect from Frostpunk 2 ahead of its release, on social media and Steam.
The developers state that the strategy game is now fully playable, and also noted the game's main mechanics have already been completed. The team says they plan to give "high priority" to external testing of the sequel, which will be carried out by third-party specialists.
The city-building simulator will be presented to the press at the gamescom event in August, and then a separate tour will take place in the US in September. The current plan is to present the gameplay to the general public in early autumn, although the developers haven't shared an exact date yet.
The game is currently set for release on PC. Little is known about when the game is coming to consoles. You can follow the game on Twitter.
