Diablo IV Featured in Milan Fashion Week with Han Kjøbenhavn Outfits

The fashion house has showcased its Diablo-inspired womenswear collection that features three outfits centered around the theme of "hell as a beautiful place."

Blizzard Entertainment's upcoming release of Diablo IV, which will take place this June, has been celebrated in the fashion world thanks to a collaboration between Blizzard and fashion house Han Kjøbenhavn whose designs inspired by the game were recently showcased at Milan Fashion Week.

The Diablo-inspired collection is comprised of three outfits that are centered around the theme of "hell as a beautiful place." The outfits are said to be "ready-to-wear" and are set to be available for purchase this summer.

The collection uses a variety of materials such as vegan leather, faux fur, chrome, and pearls to narrate a fashion story that, as the brand's creative director Jannik Wikkelsø Davidsen mentioned in the interview with NME, reflects both the journey within Diablo and his own personal journey.

The designer also emphasized that his goal was not creating a direct copy of the in-game skins but rather to translate the emotions conveyed by the skins into "something that can exist within our world".

Han Kjøbenhavn has previously already collaborated with other brands, including Puma and Pendleton Woolen Mills. However, its Diablo-inspired collection is totally different from what the fashion house worked on.

Speaking to Polygon, Davidsen explained that the brand has been less interested in ordinary types of partnerships lately and shared that the decision to collaborate with Blizzard and create Diablo-inspired outfits was driven by the fact that the companies share a similar "emotional DNA."

"We wanted to look at new possibilities, with new partners, where it’s more about the emotional DNA and the connection between brands than a product," Davidsen said. "Talking to the [Blizzard], the match between us and Diablo has been really, really good, because my and Dan’s aesthetic, creatively, is not clean and sweet. The darker side [is more] our aesthetic more than a classic fashion brand."
