Clever or lazy?
Disney and Pixar have released a teaser for Toy Story 5, and if you have an Apple Watch or are just interested in the company's products, you might find it suspiciously familiar.
As noticed by Apple intern AetherAurelia, the companies simply used animations from the Toy Story Apple Watch face. Developer Dylan McDonald pulled the watch and the teaser together, and you can't deny these are the exact same animations.
Now, is it that bad, though? People in the comments are divided. On the one hand, it's Disney and Pixar's property, so they can do whatever they want, and reusing assets is not a big deal. On the other hand, the animations don't look nearly as good on the screen as they did on the watch (in 2017, by the way), which is especially apparent with Woody.
"It looks bad, low quality, and very low effort. Doesn’t bode well for the movie," said McDonald. Look, you might not find them horrible, but I'm sure that teaser didn't blow anyone's mind.

So what do you think about this decision? Is it smart or lazy? Toy Story 5 is planned for June 19, 2026.
