Disney will close the animation studio that worked on several films including the Ice Age franchise.
Ice Age
Disney decided to close Blue Sky Studios, the former 20th Century Fox division, that worked on a number of popular Disney movies, including the Ice Age franchise. The studio will be shut down in April, and Disney is currently looking for open positions internally for 450 employees to take.
“Given the current economic realities, after much consideration and evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to close filmmaking operations at Blue Sky Studios.”
