Distance-From-Camera Point Distribution Setup Made in Blender

The author utilized Geometry Nodes to create the setup.

3D Education Specialist at Poliigon and Blender enthusiast Bill 'BlenderBrit' Barber has unveiled yet another mind-blowing project. This time, the author created a neat little setup capable of reducing point distribution based on distance from the camera. According to the creator, the setup only generates points seen by the camera and can be used to simplify the creation of "heavy nature scenes" by saving VRAM. To create the project, Bill utilized Blender's Geometry Nodes.

And here's an updated setup with culling based on the camera view:

The artist has also shared the nodes behind the upgraded setup:

In the future, the creator plans to further upgrade the setup by better optimizing it and finding some alternative methods that would speed up the project. You can follow the development process by visiting Bill's Twitter page.
